Call for Papers – Special Edition of Journal

2025-08-24

About the Special Edition

The upcoming special edition seeks to publish 22 shortlisted case studies, giving them wider academic visibility and ensuring that the narratives of grassroots women leaders reach scholars, policymakers, and the larger public. Each selected case study represents a unique perspective on how women are reshaping governance at the local level and contributing to social, cultural, and economic change.

This initiative is a tribute to Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s vision of inclusive democracy, institutionalized through the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments, which ensured women’s representation in Panchayati Raj and municipal governance. The special edition will serve as both a scholarly contribution and a living testimony to the success of these reforms.

Submission & Review Process

All 22 shortlisted participants are now invited to submit their final articles online through the journal’s portal link.

Each article will undergo a review process:

A reviewer will be assigned to every case study.

Authors will be expected to revise and improve their work as per the reviewer’s feedback before final acceptance.

Final acceptance of the article will be by the editor of the special edition.

Final versions of the articles will be published in the journal’s Special Edition (with an ISSN number).

This is an excellent opportunity for young researchers to contribute to academic discourse, gain recognition at the national level, and see their work published in a peer-reviewed journal.

We warmly invite all shortlisted participants to take part in this important academic initiative and contribute to celebrating and documenting the Voices from the Grassroots.

Submission Guidelines

Please ensure that your paper follows the specified guidelines, style checklist, and paper template before submitting it through the Online Submission System. Papers that do not meet these requirements will be returned for revision.

Article Structure

Please organize your paper as outlined below:

* Title: Ensure your title is accurate and clearly represents the content of your paper, free from errors.
* Abstract: A concise and clear abstract (maximum 250 words) is required, summarizing the purpose of the research, key results, and conclusions. As abstracts are often shared separately from the article, ensure it can stand alone, without references unless absolutely necessary. Any uncommon abbreviations must be defined at their first mention.
* Keywords: Include at least three keywords immediately after the abstract.
* Introduction: Present the purpose of your study and provide relevant background information.
* Conclusion: Summarize the main findings, implications, and any limitations of the study.
* Acknowledgements: Include acknowledgments in a separate section before the references. Do not place them on the title page or as a footnote. Mention those who contributed to the research, such as through writing assistance or proofreading.
* Footnotes: Use footnotes sparingly and number them consecutively throughout the article using superscript Arabic numbers.
References

* In-text Citations: Ensure that all in-text citations are also listed in the reference section and vice versa.
* Reference Style: Follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style, Sixth Edition (ISBN 978-1-4338-0561-5).
* Reference List: Arrange references alphabetically and chronologically if necessary. Use single spacing and indent after the first line of each reference.
